The Specialised Daily Support Facility - "Tęcza" Day Care Centre operates within the structures of the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Stalowa Wola. It is based in a new building at 5 Jana Pawła II Avenue and its branch at 4 Popiełuszki Street.

The "TĘCZA" Day Care Centre is a day care centre with a preventive, therapeutic and educational character. It operates 5 days a week, from Monday to Friday, from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Participants of the day care centre are children aged 6-16:

• from families with social problems (alcoholism, domestic violence, unemployment, poverty, chronic illnesses in the family, educational inefficiency, incomplete families).
• from well-functioning families from the local environment.

Children's stay at the Day Care Centre is free of charge. Children are reported to the facility directly by their parents or are referred by specialist institutions.

The specific objectives of the facility are:

1. Psychological and pedagogical assistance.
2. Providing care and safety to children and young people in their free time.
3. Educational and preventive activities.
4. Support in school learning, help with homework.
5. Individual specialised assistance.
6. Development of interests.
7. Cooperation with the child's family, school environment.
8. Supporting the family in its basic functions of care and upbringing.
9. Cooperation with organisations and institutions in the local environment working for the benefit of the child and the family.
10. Implementing prevention programmes.

6. Health-promoting "Rainbow Treatments" prevention programme
7. Theatre classes "Rainbow Curtain"
8. Educational classes (natural science, sewing, cooking, DIY, music)
9. Speech therapy classes
10. Hand therapy
11. General sports programme with a focus on football
12. Therapeutic programme: "Adolescence and me", "Emotional first aid kit".
13. Art workshops "Imagination factory" and art and animation "I express myself".
14. Remedial classes for pupils in grades 1- 3
15. Storytelling therapy for pupils in grades 1- 4
16. Relaxation classes

The classes are run by specialised teaching staff who continually expand their knowledge by participating in numerous courses or trainings. This gives us the opportunity to continually expand our activities.

The centre also offers help with learning and catching up on schoolwork and a free hot meal.
