The Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola has been operating since 1999. It is a branch museum, working in three historic locations. The main site is located in the former Lubomirski Castle (since 2002), and the branches are the Alfons Karpinski Painting Gallery (since 2019) and the Central Industrial District Museum (since 2022). The Museum also owns the building of the former cinema, which in future, after comprehensive revitalisation, will be the seat of the first Kedyw Museum in Poland.
The Regional Museum conducts activities, exhibitions, scientific research, education and popularisation in the field of, among others, the history of the region, the folk culture of Lower Nadsanie, the work of the Young Poland painter Alfons Karpiński, art déco crafts and modernism architecture. It also operates in the urban space, organising cultural events in the open air, excursions, concerts and much more. It addresses its offer to audiences of all ages, following the formula "from kindergarten to senior citizens".
The Museum, which has received numerous awards and has been effectively promoted, is a great showcase for Stalowa Wola.
