The Senior+ Day Care Centre is a day support centre for older people. The facility is a place for pensioners. The condition for participation is being at least 60 years of age and preserved mental fitness to function independently, as well as residence in the Stalowa Wola Municipality. The participant can move around with the help of small mobility aids (e.g. one elbow crutch, cane). The right to stay in DDS+ is granted by an administrative decision, after a community interview by a social worker of the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Stalowa Wola. The period of stay, type of services provided and the fee for the stay are determined in consultation with the referred person based on the regulations contained in Resolution No. LVIII/747/2022 of the Municipal Council in Stalowa Wola of 2 December 2022 on determining detailed principles of paying for the stay at the Senior+ Day Care Centre at the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Stalowa Wola.

In accordance with Order No. 28/2024 of 25 April 2024 of the Director of the Municipal Social Welfare Centre, the daily rate of stay at the Senior+ Day Care Centre from 2 January 2024 is PLN 58.94.

Opening hours from 7:00 to 15:00 (Monday to Friday).

The aim of the House's activities is:

• social activation of participants, enabling them to function independently in society;
• improving psycho-physical functioning through therapeutic, animation, general fitness and movement activities;
• prevention ensuring maintenance of the current state of health and prevention of the development of dysfunctions through diagnosis of the individual needs, abilities and interests of the participants;
• improving the health of the House participants in a holistic approach;
• integrating participants into the local community and increasing their social activity;
• promotion of a positive image of seniors and the Senior+ Daily House in Stalowa Wola;
• participants have the opportunity to benefit from occupational therapy, gymnastics, music therapy, choreotherapy, bibliotherapy;
• conducting talks, lectures, meetings with interesting people, specialists in various fields related to the life of the elderly and current problems of this social group;
• active spending of free time through integration and sightseeing trips, excursions;
• organisation of free time of DD Senior+ participants, e.g. board games, card games, puns, puzzles, etc.
